I has a tumblr!

Helloooo again dear readers!

I wanted to let you know the reason for my long blogspot absence. It's simple really... I discovered the awesomeness of tumblr. It's fun, I can follow tons of amazing artists, it's easy feedback, and I don't have to write much every time I post my art.

All in all, I've found it to be an easier way to share my artwork.

Some of you might have a few questions, so I'll try to answer them here...

Why the new blog?

(Already kinda explained up there... ^^)I wanted to try something new... and the amount of fellow artists' tumblr blogs in my bookmarks were threatening to overtake my Chrome. ;]

Will this blog be deleted?

No. I still get lot of activity here, so I'm going to keep it up a for a while.

Are you going to post here anymore though?

Probably not. I might at holidays and such but it's really TBD.

What about future commissions?

Yes! I hope to reopen commissions sometime in the near future, but the info will probably be on my tumblr, not here.

Laziness, Christmas, and Newsies

Well.

It has been a while, hasn't it?

Life has been crazy. I'll start with that; however, the only real reason I have not updated this blog is because I'm lazy. (That, and I didn't know what to post and what to say...) My little sister keeps telling me to post a sketch dump, but I hate posting stuff that I'm not at least a bit proud of. 

*cough* Perfectionist alert! *cough*

Yeeeah... I should have a better excuse. Oh well.

*shuffles awkwardly, trying to think of something to say*

Can you believe Christmas is here ALREADY?!?!? Time is flying by faster and faster, it's scary. O_O So many important decisions coming up. Ugh.

And I am here to announce a new/first original character of mine! You may recognize her from my little procrastination comic I posted earlier:

Say hello to Trixie! (aka Trix...)

She's pretty much based off of me, but I wanted to give some personality quirks and stuff that I don't have, such as her absolute adorableness... ;] ...but she also shares many of the traits I have... *cough cough* procrastination *cough cough*

Procrastinating... again...

Yes, I know I promised to post within the week... 

...almost a month ago.

*guilty face*

But hold the tomatoes for a second! I have a valid excuse!

I've been so busy with homework, and softball, and an upcoming piano recital, and robotics club, and... *sigh*... that I barely get much time to doodle, much less draw.

My life is crazy.

Well, I did draw this little chibi me the other day in one of my school notebooks:

*cough* I have problem with procrastination. It's very sad, I know.

I need to work on it...

Just kidding. ;] I really am trying hard to curb this procrastinating tendency of mine. A verse that comes to me often is Proverbs 27:1 (NLT)

Haha. God really does know us humans well. He knows all our bad habits. With His help, not just my own, I know I can fix my "putting-off-til-the-last-dang-minute" problem.

Hopefully it'll be better by college... ;]

I thought I should probably let you know I'm still alive... ;) but because of school and such, this is going to be very short.

I sketched this little friend of mine at church last week. It was amazing--she actually sat (relatively) still for, like, three minutes! O_O Lol. Little kids are so cute!

Copic Markers

Wow. Three posts in one week! What has gotten into me? ;)

Anyway, for Christmas, I received a set of Copic Ciao markers. *squeals* So exciting!!! (For an artist...;]) I was trying them out today and after *ahem* quite a few practice "sessions", 

(Example:

Supposed to be Orihime from Bleach. Her mouth went wacky...)

 I created this little picture:

Obviously, there is A LOT I need to work on. (Example: how to keep those colors from bleeding outside the lines!) But I think it's a decent beginning. It would be better if I had more colors... but Copics are quite the investment. O_O

I told myself I was going to draw a Thanksgiving-themed chibi and so I drew this today... ^_^ Aren't they cute?!?

The pilgrim boy on the left is holding a pie, the girl in the middle is holding an apple, and the indian boy on the right is just being cute. :3 Which one is your favorite?

A few things I am thankful for this year (among many): my best friend Grace, my drawing pencils (*wink wink*), and of course, my amazing God.

More Fullmetal Alchemist...

My sister and I are watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, so I've been re-reading the FMA manga. Ooohhh! It is sooo goood!! *squeals* 

Since I already posted once on FMA (link), I won't go expatiating on the story and such...but Oh! the drama! the characters! the plot!

*cough* Sorry... over excited otaku here. ;)

...And, I have been drawing FMA characters a lot lately...

My Sister

Okay, I think I should take a brief break from chibis...

Chemistry Kills

Hello again world!

I seriously believe Chemistry will be the death of me. So, if I suddenly stop posting anytime soon, blame high school chem. If you enjoy chemistry and understand it...I am patting you on the back. Good job. And pray for me. ;)

These are chibis I doodled today. Our scanner is acting kind of weird...that's why these pictures are so dark.

Warning!

SDDS (Severe Drawing Deficiency Syndrome) may occur when an artist is not able to draw for a period of at least 6 days (or more). Very common around the first few weeks of school. Do you or any of your friends have this? Symptoms may include:

-random weirdness

-constant doodling on any item available

-squealing when chibis are mentioned

-talking to self when alone

-etc.

The cure for SDDS is one hour (at least) of drawing, without worry about homework, etc.

My problem lately: ^^. LOL.

An Unfortunate Love Triangle

Ahhh....Poor Gray! (The shirtless guy on the left.)

Characters:(left to right) Gray, Juvia, and Lyon. 
The Story: Juvia is crazy (and I mean obsessed crazy) about Gray. Problem-Gray doesn't really like her. He puts up with her, but he thinks she weird (and a little creepy). Haha! Lyon thinks that it's love-at-first-sight for him and Juvia. Juvia thinks Lyon is creepy. *Sigh* Therefore, the unfortunate love triangle...
This is an original of mine, though the characters belong to  Hiro Mashima.

Yes, I know it's really late, but I was out of town  and without internet for the week. Gee, I didn't realize how much I use the internet...

Naruto, Part 4

I hope you're not getting to tired of Naruto...

...'cause here's part 4.

Okay, I know she's hated by a lot of Naruto fans, but I think Sakura Haruno deserves a little more respect than she gets. She was a bit Sasuke-crazy when first introduced, but it was a sweet and innocent crush. I think she's definitely mellowed out now. (After the two-year time skip.)
 A talented and hardworking ninja, Sakura was the best in the academy, academically speaking. She was placed in Team 7 after graduating the exams, and began training under Kakashi Hataki with Naruto and Sasuke. After innumerable dangerous missions and fun times, troubles broke Team 7 apart when Sasuke left the Village. Sakura felt as if she could have stopped him, and vowed that she would help Naruto bring him back. She then trains under the only female Hokage, Tsunade, as a medical ninja. Sakura decides to never back down...convince Sasuke to return, or be the one to take his life.

Sakura's facial features are a little off in this one...I think her head's to thin. She has definitely been the hardest so far.

Yeah, yeah, they're cute and all, but those bunnies and eggs and candy are not the real reasons behind the celebration of Easter. You want to know the true meaning of Easter? Keep reading...

God's son, Jesus Christ, died for us. His death, the death of one who is sinless, is the price of salvation. He was crucified on a cross and was buried in a tomb. A huge stone was rolled across the tomb's entrance.

Hello everyone!

Whew! Talk about a complicated/busy/non-stop life lately... -_- ... I would love it if the world would stop spinning so fast, just for a day. I need more time to draw! 

Anyway, I have been drawing some stuff. These are from the anime (and manga), Code Geass. It's ok, (the anime, I mean) though I think it's mostly aimed at a more mature audience (violence, and mild language...). I like some of the characters, and decided I wanted to draw them, so here are my attempts at:

"Arthur"  --meow!

"Suzaku"

--This is his soldier's uniform; that's why he's so rigid.

"Lelouch" 

--He's fine from the waste up...waste down: too small, IMHO...

"Shirley"

 --She's my favorite! I love how her hair turned out.

I still want to draw some more CG characters, and will post them when I get the time.
